Traditional Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are the two main modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine (“TCM”). The foundation of TCM’s philosophy is based on the concept that the body, mind and spirit are a single entity, and therefore we as humans are a product of not only our physical bodies but encompass our psychological, social, environmental and constitutional elements as a whole.
This holistic approach takes into account that every disease or pathological condition -- whether a systemic disorder or localized injury is influenced by factors such as lifestyle, diet, stress levels, occupation and even geographical location.
TCM considers that health is achieved and disease prevented by maintaining and continuously attempting to refine one’s overall body in a 'balanced state' among all of the components that make up and affect each and every one of us.
Integrative Medicine
In today’s modern society, one cannot ignore the benefits and advances of Western bio-medicine. By incorporating elements of both orthodox medicine and Eastern healing methods, we offer a comprehensive approach to health care. Our practice is devoted to caring for the unique person as a whole, not just treating the disease. By thoughtfully integrating conventional medicine and TCM, we tailor treatment programs to help patients achieve new levels of health, healing and general well-being.
Issues Commonly Treated with TCM:
- Pain Management
- Gastrointestinal
- Respiratory
- Sports Medicine
- Neurological
- GYN/OB
